Why didn’t I think of this? Hooters and golf! You’ve got Hooter’s girls handing out prize money (albeit grocery money based on entry fees), great golf courses, and small crowds with greater golfer accessibility. It’s like Single A ball for golfers!
The Hooters tour has been around in one form or another since the early nineties. It’s not directly affiliated with the PGA Tour but the Hooters Tour does pay entry fees to Q School for the top five finishers each year.
Most of the events in the Southern Series take place in eastern North Carolina and around Myrtle Beach, South Carolina so it’s a great way to get in a round and then watch some budding pros tee it up. The Hooter’s Tour has had some big names get their start in the tour like Boo Weekly, Chad Campbell and Zach Johnson.
Chicken wings, lovely ladies, and golf. Is that you Lord? Have you finally answered my prayers?
